QA Engineer - JD

Your mission

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to lead our quality assurance efforts across the Amberscript platform. You will define and execute our QA strategy, combining manual testing for complex, high-impact features with automated testing to ensure speed and scalability. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure we ship high-quality, bug-free features that users trust and love.

What you will achieve

Own and drive the QA strategy across the product, with a strong balance of manual and automated testing.
Perform manual exploratory testing of new features, transcription workflows, and UI/UX changes — especially where automation can’t capture edge cases or subjective quality.
Design, write, and maintain automated tests for our web platform, APIs, and backend systems using tools like Postman.
Define and execute regression testing plans for every release, ensuring quality doesn’t regress as the product evolves.
Collaborate with developers to integrate QA in the CI/CD pipeline (we use GitLab CI).
Test integrations with third-party tools (e.g., transcription engines, export formats).
Investigate bugs reported by users, reproduce issues, and provide clear documentation for resolution.
Contribute to product requirements by identifying potential quality or usability risks early.
Mentor developers and other stakeholders on testing best practices and quality-first thinking.

Your profile

5+ years of hands-on QA experience, including both manual and automated testing in SaaS or B2B environments.
Proven experience designing and executing manual test plans for feature validation and exploratory testing.
Proficiency with one or more modern test automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium) and scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
Experience testing REST APIs and integrating tools like Postman into test suites.
Solid understanding of QA processes within agile product teams.
Familiarity with testing for media workflows (audio/video, transcription, subtitling) is a big plus.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and a bias toward shipping high-quality work.
Fluent in English.
